Today, I didn’t feel like doing much of anything.  I’m bored, missing my kids who are away, and have been since last Friday, and bored with setting up the new place …. so, I took a break today from doing anything totally productive.  What I did decide to do, was start and almost finish a painting for my daughter today.  I’ve been promising this to her for a while now, but just haven’t found the time.  So, I thought I’d try to have it done for Sunday, when she get’s home as a surprise for her in her new room.  I worked on it all day, and it’s almost done.  A few tiny touch up’s tomorrow, and one decorative ‘thing’ I want to add to it, and it will be complete!  I don’t really know why, but she really likes to paint fruit.  All kinds.  Fruit baskets.  Fruit by itself.  Just …. fruit, so I made her a pear!  And all the colors in it match her new bedding I got her!!  I’m such a good mommy   This was good, though.  I really did need ‘a break’ from household duties.
